At IT Crew Websolution we have developed Typing Test Online for students who want to learn typing and practise without paying a fee. The portal offers Punjabi typing tests along with Hindi and English typing practice. Students can also start with lessons if they are still learning the keyboard.
We are based in Punjab and wanted to contribute something useful to students preparing for government jobs. Typing requires regular practice on a computer. Reading about it is not enough. You need to sit at a keyboard and work through the letters and words yourself.
This is where we wanted our work to help. We have built a portal that students can open on their desktop or laptop and use for free whenever they have time to practise.
A Project We Developed for Students
Our work at IT Crew usually involves developing websites and portals for businesses. With Typing Test Online we wanted to use those same skills for students.
The idea was straightforward. A student who wants to learn Punjabi typing should have a place to begin. Someone who already knows the keyboard should be able to practise a passage and check their performance. Students who need Hindi or English typing should also be able to use the same portal.
We brought these options together so learners can choose their language and start at a level that suits them. There is no fee for accessing the typing lessons and practice tests.
Learn Punjabi Unicode Typing in Raavi Font
Learning Punjabi typing can feel slow in the beginning. You may know exactly which word you want to type but still need to search for each letter on the keyboard.
We have included
Punjabi typing lessons for students learning Punjabi Unicode typing in Raavi font. These lessons give you a place to practise the keyboard rows and become familiar with the position of Gurmukhi characters.
You do not have to begin with a full typing test. Start with a lesson. Repeat the letters that feel difficult. Give yourself time to remember the keys before trying to type faster.
For beginners this is an important part of learning. A few correctly typed lines are more useful than rushing through a passage with the same mistakes every time.
Practise with Our Free Punjabi Typing Test
Once you are familiar with the keyboard you can move to our
Punjabi typing test online.
We developed this section for students who want regular Punjabi typing practice on a computer. You can attempt a timed test and review your speed and accuracy. This helps you understand where you currently stand and what needs more work.
For students preparing for a Punjab government typing test the portal can become part of their daily study routine. Always check the recruitment notice for the keyboard layout and test requirements that apply to your examination.
Hindi and English Typing Practice on the Same Portal
We have also included a
free Hindi typing test for students who want to practise typing Hindi text.
If English typing is part of your preparation you can use our
free English typing test online. It is also useful for students who want to become more comfortable completing assignments or doing everyday computer work.
You can choose the language you need to work on. There is no need to practise all three unless that is your goal.
Students who are starting from the basics can visit our
typing lessons section to explore learning options for Punjabi and Hindi as well as English.
Use It on Your Desktop and Make Time to Practise
We encourage students to use the portal on a desktop or laptop with a physical keyboard. This gives you time at the keyboard where the skill actually develops.
Begin with a short practice session that you can repeat regularly. If you keep getting a particular letter wrong then return to it. If your speed drops during a passage then work on maintaining a comfortable rhythm.
Your result is there to help you decide what to practise next. You do not need to chase a higher score in every session.
Students preparing for a typing examination should follow the required font and keyboard layout from the start. Practising with a different setup can mean having to adjust again later.
